ISSUE FIVE:
JUNE 2021

Letter from the Editors

Dear readers,

Issue Five is here! We hope you are as excited about the art and writing in this issue as we are––we would like to applaud all the artists featured for their generosity in allowing us to share their wonderful creations.

This issue, we are excited to announce a new interactive feature. Through the contact form below, you can send a kind message to any artist whose work you enjoyed, and we will pass it on for you! Our mission is to showcase voices from as many diverse backgrounds and perspectives as possible. We are so happy to announce that Flare is now read in over fifty-six countries and nearly every US state (still waiting on North Dakota!) We want to encourage all our readers to consider submitting, or simply sharing the art they enjoyed with family and friends.

Some other exciting news: this summer, Flare had the opportunity to support BLOOM, an organization affiliated with the United States  CDC, to help create more inclusive resources in middle-grade health curriculum for schools across the US. What a great way to kick off our second annual cycle of publication!

Send a message, share the issue, and happy reading!

~ Michelle, Editor-in-Chief @flarejournal
